Official Maison Chai Shop · East Africa
Every Maison Chai tea is traceable to the women who grew it — from our farms in Nyeri and the Rift Valley to your cup. This is the official Maison Chai e-commerce page for East Africa.
✦ Rift Valley · 2,000 – 2,200m
Our Rift Valley gardens sit at altitude in the Great Rift escarpment — rich volcanic soils, afternoon mist, and wide day-night temperature swings. The result is a fuller, maltier cup with deep body and a warm, rounded finish. Rift Valley black teas are exceptional for boiling with milk; the greens and purples carry an earthy intensity that lingers.
✦ Aberdares · 2,200 – 2,500m
High in the Aberdare Range above Nyeri, our mountain-garden teas benefit from cool temperatures, high rainfall, and bright equatorial light at elevation. These conditions slow leaf growth and concentrate flavour — producing a brighter, crisper, more aromatic cup with a clean, lingering sweetness. Ideal for steeping without milk; the greens and whites here are exceptional.
✦ Every sale supports WITEVA
A percentage of every sale goes directly to the Women in Tea Value Chain Association (WITEVA) — supporting training, leadership pathways, and economic inclusion for the women who grow your tea. From field to factory board, WITEVA is changing who holds power in Kenya's tea industry.
Women in our supply chain
Women trained through the Women in Tea Value Chain Association — from field workers to factory board representatives.
